Trinidad Moruga Scorpion

The Scorpion took the record from the Ghost and lost it to the Reaper, but pepper cooks argue it is the best-flavored superhot — real butterscotch and citrus under the fire, with thick juicy walls unusual in the class. Trinidad uses it (and the 7-Pot family) in sauces where flavor leads. The heat catches later than the Reaper's and lingers longer; respect the tail in the name.
